SEAANZ conference: HIGHLY recommended!

Thursday, July 28, 2016

At ICA, we're a little exhausted because we’ve spent 10 months heavily involved in organising this event. The National Small Business Conference (10-12 August, Melbourne)  is just 2 weeks away. We believe it’s important that at least once a year politicians, bureaucrats, academics and small business people get together to discuss small business issues.

This year’s conference has a stunning line-up of presenters. We highly recommend you look at your timetable and budget to see if you can attend at least part of the conference. There’s great value, we think.

Look at the line-up of inspirational people motivating us to ‘get out and be passionate about small business’:
  • John Kazanas, best-selling author on ‘Reach Your Everest
  • Daniel Flynn from Thankyou Water on ‘Social Media Marketing Success
  • Matthew Fletcher from Grant Ready on ‘Show Me the Money
  • Joel de Ross of Future Music Network on ‘Tapping into Big Opportunity.’
  • Alex Pirous of Linkfluencer on ‘The Art of Social Selling on Linkedin
  • Janet Egbar of NabLabs and Jonathan Wolfe of Wrays on ‘Aligning Innovation to Strategy’.
  • Kevin Starow of Bubble Muffin on ‘Cooking up Business’.
  • Michelle Levine of Roy Morgan Research on ‘The people behind small business
  • Alex Gray of NAB Village on ‘Dimensions of Working Space
  • Jordana Borensztajn, Social Media Strategist, on ‘How Creative Marketing helps capture Attention
Then there’s the influencers and decision-makers:
  • Newly appointed Federal Small Business Minister:  Michael McCormack (formally standing in for the Prime Minister)
  • Victorian Small Business Minister:  Philip Dalidakis
  • President of the Human Rights Commission: Prof Gillian Triggs
  • Federal Small Business Ombudsman: Kate Carnell
  • Deputy Chair ACCC: Michael Schaper
  • Inspector-General of Taxation: Ali Noroozi
  • Compliance Director Fair Work Ombudsman: Lynda McAlary-Smith
  • Victorian Small Business Commissioner: Geoff Brown
  • NSW Small Business Commissioner: Robyn Hobbs
  • Assn Commissioner Small Business ATO:  Judy O’Connell
It’s a big impressive line-up. Here’s the full program.

But there’s more!
You can book a free Small Business Mentoring session here.
And promote your business at the small business ‘market’.
(You don’t have to register for the conference for these.)

The venue is stunning! NAB Centre next to Southern Cross Station, Melbourne CBD. And costs have been kept affordable and flexible. For example, there’s a ‘small businesspersons special’ of just $150 for a day. Bookings are essential.

Hope to see you there!
