Webinars for information 30 July, 1 August 2013

On Monday 1 July 2013 new building and construction procurement guidelines came into force to ensure value for money on NSW infrastructure projects.

The new guidelines apply to all building and construction companies that bid or tender for NSW Government infrastructure work.  The Treasurer and Minister for Industrial Relations announced the commencement of the guidelines in a media release on 1 July.
NSW Industrial Relations has established a Construction Compliance Unit (CCU) to monitor compliance with the guidelines and to provide guidance to industry.
The CCU will be conducting a free Webinar "Introduction to the NSW Building and Construction Guidelines" at 3pm on 30 July 2013 and 1 August 2013. The Webinar will outline why the Guidelines have been implemented, key elements of the Guidelines, who the Guidelines apply to, where and when the Guidelines apply, and potential sanctions for breaches of the Guidelines.

The details of the Webinars are on the NSW IR website.

Registration for a Webinar is free. Registration here.
